About This Place

Romano's Macaroni Grill in Redlands, CA, is a delightful Italian restaurant that masterfully marries traditional flavors with a warm and inviting dining atmosphere. Situated at 27490 W Lugonia Ave, this culinary gem is perfect for those seeking authentic Italian fare served with a contemporary twist.

From the moment you step inside, the tantalizing aroma of freshly baked bread and seasoned olive oil sets the stage for an exceptional meal. Customers rave about the fresh, crisp side salads such as the Bibb and Blue Salad, bursting with a harmonious blend of tender greens and blue cheese, often complemented by perfectly cooked shrimp. The bread itself, paired with a perfectly balanced olive oil dip, is so memorable that guests like Ms L recall it as a highlight of their visit.

The menu is a celebration of classic Italian favorites and sophisticated seafood dishes. Dive into the rich, creamy goodness of the Mushroom Ravioli or indulge in the zesty and fresh Seafood Ravioli, filled with tender pasta, roma tomatoes, asparagus, shrimp, and kissed by a delicate lemon butter sauce that adds just the right brightness—Monica Moore’s husband found it irresistibly fresh. If you're in the mood for something hearty, the Chicken Marsala and Buffalo Chicken Parmesan offer robust flavors that speak to traditional Italian comfort food with a gourmet touch.

Seafood lovers will appreciate the Shrimp Portofino featuring sautéed jumbo shrimp mingling with capellini, spinach, mushrooms, and pine nuts in a luscious lemon butter sauce, or the perfectly grilled salmon with its sweet Calabrian honey pepper glaze served alongside spinach and sundried tomato pasta. These dishes showcase Romano's commitment to quality and excellent ingredient pairing.

The dessert menu is equally enticing, with creamy, dreamy treats such as the delicate Tiramisu, velvety New York Style Cheesecake, and the rich, indulgent Chocolate Mousse Cake. The Romano's Cannoli offers a traditional ending that perfectly balances texture and sweetness, a fitting finale to your Italian feast.

While the ambiance is relaxed and welcoming, attention to detail shines through—from friendly and attentive staff, like waitress Jena who adds personal warmth to the meal experience, to the generous portion sizes that ensure you leave satisfied. Some guests have noted subtle shifts, such as the current absence of balsamic vinegar in favor of seasoned olive oil, indicating a thoughtful evolution in the dining experience. Monica found the appetizers hearty enough to fill her up before even moving on to pasta, demonstrating the quality and richness of the starters like the Stuffed Mushrooms and Crispy Brussel Sprouts.

Practical details include a somewhat tricky pick-up entrance, as experienced by Keiko Davisson, but overall, Romano's Macaroni Grill delivers both dine-in and takeout experiences with efficiency and care. Whether you're out for a casual lunch or a special dinner, this vibrant spot in Redlands promises authentic Italian cuisine heightened by fresh ingredients, flavorful sauces, and rustic charm.

Next time you're craving satisfying Italian classics wrapped in a cozy, inviting setting, Romano's Macaroni Grill is a dependable choice that speaks to both the heart and palate.

I enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms and Brussel sprouts. My husband had the seafood ravioli and he enjoyed the hint of lemon. I got the pasta rustica, however, although it looks good, I am full from the appetizers.

Having a great time at Macaroni Grill. Fresh hit bread, beautiful side salad, friendly waitress (Jena) and everything was cooked perfectly. I havent been here in awhile so it was nice to be back. I had forgotten how wonderful the bread and oil with vinegar is.

Went for lunch. The Bibb and Blue salad was good. The addition of shrimp was $5.50. The shrimp were small and only included 4 shrimp. Iced tea was good. Bread is served if you ask for it. They do not provide balsamic vinegar anymore. Only seasoned olive oil. Portions are generous.

I had a gift card I needed to use, so I decided to give this place a try. I ordered online for pick up on a Saturday at 4pm so it said the wait was 22 minutes. I was about 10 minutes late picking it up but it was ready when I got there. The entrance for pick up was hard to find and not marked at all. The main entrance was locked and there was a hose and some tables kind of blocking it. I wasn't even sure if that was the main entrance or not so I started to walk around the building. There was another small unmarked door that ended up being the right one. Paying and getting the food was easy enough, they just really need a better sign by the door. The food was pretty good. I'd say it's a little better than Olive Garden.
